Be An ARS Writing Teacher!

A Revolutionary Summer is hiring two writing teachers for our Summer 2021 programming! Click here to apply.

We ask that Black women applicants possess the following qualities:

  • Deep understanding of and belief in the connection between healthy relationships and learning

  • Command of the written word

  • Ability to convey writing lessons in meaningful and engaging ways

  • Willingness to be trained in and faithfully implement restorative practices and A Revolutionary Summer's protocol for facilitating workshops and delivering feedback

  • Time and energy to invest in up to eight young women, one at a time, across the summer months

Background checks are required. Small group and one-on-one workshops are delivered virtually, so Black women who live outside of Baltimore are welcomed to apply, understanding that priority will be given to local applicants.

We can offer a $3,000 stipend for the facilitation of three small group 90-minute craft workshops, multiple 30-minute one-on-one feedback sessions, and the prep and follow up work necessary to a comprehensive learning experience, which includes regular email/text communication with your cohort of daughters. We hope it goes without saying that all Black women are welcomed to apply. Please direct any questions to
